We tested all available methods on current versions of MIUI 14/15 and Android 13/14, took into account the characteristics of operators (MTS, Beeline, Megaphone, Tele2) and collected step-by-step instructions with visual hints. Importantly, some methods may not work on devices with custom firmware or roaming, we will also talk about this.
1. Standard way through phone settings
The most reliable method is the use of built-in MIUI tools, which works on 90% of Xiaomi devices without additional applications, the main condition is that your operator must support the service "AntiAON" (hiding the number).
The following is the case for MIUI 12-15:
- Open the phone application (pipe icon).
- Tap the three-point menu (⋮) top-right.
- Select Settings → Additional settings.
- Find Caller Identification (or Show My Number).
- Choose the option to hide the number (or never).
On some models (POCO F5, Redmi K60) the path may be slightly different:

3. Applications for permanent concealment of the number
If you have to hide the default number for all calls and the standard methods don't work, install one of the apps you've tested. We tested 5 popular utilities -- the best results we've found are:

Instructions for Hide My Number:
- Install the app and give permissions to call.
- In the main menu, select Hide the number for all calls.
- Activate the option to use as a default call.
- Make a test call to *100# (free operator service) to check.
What to do if the application does not work?
⚠️ Note: Number Hiding Apps May Conflict with System Services MIUI. If after installation, incoming calls disappear – reset the network settings in Settings → SIM-maps and mobile networks → Resetting network settings.
4. Hiding the number through the engineering menu
For advanced users, there is a way to activate the hidden number through the engineering menu (works on Xiaomi 11T, Redmi Note 11 Pro+ and other models with a Snapdragon processor), this method does not require root rights, but requires caution.
Step-by-step:
- Open the Phone app and dial ##4636##.
- In the menu that opens, select Phone Information.
- Scroll down to the Set CLIR (Call Line Identification Restriction) section.
- Select Hide Number (also called Invocation or Permanent).
- Save the settings and restart the phone.

6.Problems and solutions
Even after you set it up correctly, hiding the number may not work, and we've collected common errors and ways to fix them:
Problem 1: The operator does not support the service.
Solution: Check the availability of Anti-AON from the operator. For MTS, dial *111*08#, for Beeline - *110*18#.
Problem 2: Settings are reset after rebooting.
Solution: This is a MIUI 13-14 bug.
