The most universal method is to use Miracast technology, which is built into most modern devices, which allows you to duplicate the screen of your phone on your TV without additional applications, but requires support from both devices. On Xiaomi, the feature is called Wireless Display, on LG, Screen Share.
How do you check compatibility? On an LG TV, open Settings → Networks → Screen Share (or Miracast in older models). On a Xiaomi smartphone, the path: Settings → Connections and Sharing → Wireless display. If the option is active, you can start connecting.

4. Connection through USB-cable (for files and photos)
If you just want to watch your phone's photo/video on a big screen, you can do without having to set up complex settings. USB-cable (preferably original from Xiaomi) and select the file transfer mode on the phone (or MTP).
On LG TV:
- Connect the cable to the USB port (usually located on the side or back panel).
- In the TV menu, select the source of the signal — USB-device.
- Use the remote to navigate through files on your phone.
This method is suitable for viewing local media files, but does not allow you to duplicate the screen or run applications. Also note that LG does not support all video formats - for example,.mkv files with the HEVC codec may not play.

If the TV can’t see the phone via USB, try turning on Xiaomi’s developer mode and activating the USB debugging option.
5. Use of third-party applications (ApowerMirror, TeamViewer)
If the built-in methods don't work (for example, on older LG models without Miracast), you can use third-party programs.

A critical feature for Xiaomi owners on MIUI 14+: in recent firmware versions, the Wireless Display feature may conflict with battery optimization. To avoid a connection break, add the Settings app to the exclusion list (Settings → Battery → Battery Optimization).

7. Alternative methods: DLNA and Plex
If you don't need to duplicate the screen, but you just need to stream media files (movies, music, photos), you can use DLNA or Plex protocols, which allow you to view content from your phone on your TV without mirroring.
For DLNA:
- On a Xiaomi phone, install a server application (e.g., BubbleUPnP).
- On your LG TV, open the built-in media player and select the source – your phone.
For Plex:
