Xiaomiβs theme can dramatically change the look of your smartphone, from app icons to screen animations. However, new themes arenβt always pleasing: some look crooked, slow down the system, or simply donβt fit your style. If you installed the theme through MIUI Themes and want to return the standard look β or remove all downloaded themes altogether β this guide will help you do it quickly and without errors.

1. How to Reset a Theme to Factory View Through Settings
The easiest way to get back to the standard interface is to use the built-in MIUI tools, which require no superuser rights and works on 90% of Xiaomi devices.
Open the Themes app (icon with brush) and follow the steps:
- π± Go to the My Themes tab (bottom of the screen).
- π Find a theme marked Default or Standard (usually first on the list).
- π¨ Click Apply β the system will return the factory design of icons, fonts and animations.
- ποΈ To remove unnecessary themes, click on three dots next to the topic title. β Delete.
If the standard theme doesnβt appear in the list, update the Themes app via the Play Market or App Store (for global firmware). On some devices (POCO F5, Redmi Note 12), the standard theme may be called MIUI Default.
β οΈ Warning: After resetting the theme, some widgets (such as weather or calendar) may temporarily disappear from the home screen. To return them, hold your finger in the free desktop space. β Widgets β Bring the desired item back.

Instructions:
- Open Settings β Applications β Application Management.
- Find the Themes app (or Miui Themes) and select it.
- Go to Warehouse β click Clear Cache and Clear Data.
- Return to the Themes app and apply the standard design again.

3. Disabling themes via ADB (for power users)
If the theme is βenteredβ into the system and is not deleted through the interface, the ADB command line will help. This method requires a computer and enabled debugging over USB, but is guaranteed to clear all traces of themes.
Step-by-step:
- Turn on Developer Mode: Go to Settings β About Phone. Click 7 times on the MIUI Version until you become a developer notification appears. Go back to Settings β Additional β Developer and enable USB Debugging.

adb shell cmd package bg-dexopt-jobImportant: pm uninstall commands only remove themes for the current user. System files remain intact, so the risk of MIUI damage is minimal.
π‘
If so, ADB-Application icon commands have become standard, but the desktop background remains from the old theme, go to Settings β Wallpaper and choose any other background (even the same) - this will reset the cache of wallpaper.
4. Reset all design settings (hard method)

- π§ Select Reset interface settings (not to be confused with full reset!).

- Go to Settings β Display β Font Style and select Default.
