Why Xiaomi’s button may not ring – and how to fix it

But many users want your phone to ring when it is triggered, like an alarm or alarm. IFTTT (If This Then That) allows you to create a chain of actions where the Contact Sensor triggers a call via Webhook or send a notification to Telegram/WhatsApp. This method is the most flexible, but requires configuration.
How to set up:
- Sign up for IFTTT and connect the Xiaomi Mi Home service (you will need a login / password from your Xiaomi account).
- Create a new applet (Create → If This) and select Door/Window sensor opens trigger.

If calling your phone isn’t suitable (for example, due to poor communication), consider these options:
