This problem is more common after you clean the system of “unnecessary” apps or reset your settings. Fortunately, you can return the call without flashing it back — and we’ll show you how to do it on any device with MIUI (including versions 12, 13 and 14).

Before you restore an application, it's important to understand why it disappeared, so that you can choose the right method and avoid having to re-enter the problem.

Method 2: Install a call through the MIUI App Store

If the standard app is removed, it can be reinstalled from the official Xiaomi store.

1. Open the App Store (Blue Package Icon).
2. In the search, enter the phone or Dialer.
3. Find the official app from Xiaomi Inc. and click Install.
4. After installation, restart the phone.

If there is nothing in the search, try an alternative method:

Method 3: Recovery through ADB (for power users)

If the call is deleted without being installed through the store, you can restore it via ADB (Android Debug Bridge), which requires a computer and enabled debugging over USB.

Instructions:

1. Download and install Google’s Platform Tools.
2. On your phone, turn on Settings → About Phone → MIUI version (click 7 times to activate Developer Mode).
3. Return to Settings → Additional → For developers and enable USB debugging.
4. Connect the phone to the PC and type in the command line (cmd):

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.android.dialer

If the command is successful, the call will appear on the menu. If not, try an alternative command:

adb shell pm install -r /system/priv-app/Dialer/Dialer.apk

For MIUI 14 and later, the path to APK may be different.

Method 4: Reset to factory settings (last chance)

If none of these methods work, it's a complete reset, and it'll bring the call back, but it'll delete all the data from the phone.

Resetting instructions:

4. Connect the device to the PC and launch the file flash_all.bat firmware.

The process will take 5-10 minutes, and after flashing, the call will be restored along with all system applications.
