How to fix the power button on Xiaomi smartphone: from diagnosis to repair

Before you fix it, you need to understand what exactly broke.The power button on Xiaomi may not work for 5 main reasons:

If the cleaning didn't work, and the button doesn't press or stops, it needs to be replaced. On Xiaomi models, the power button is usually soldered to a flexible plume, which is also responsible for adjusting the volume, and it requires accuracy, but it's possible to do it at home.

You'll need:

• 🛠️ Set of screwdrivers (cross and flat, preferably magnetic).
• 🔥 A soldering iron with a thin sting (power 20-30 W) and solder.
• 🧲 Tweezers and antistatic bracelet (optional but recommended).
• 🔍 Loupa or microscope for soldering.
• 📦 New power button (you can buy on AliExpress or in service centers).

Replacement process:

1. Remove the back cover (carefully so as not to damage the battery plumes and cameras).
2. Disconnect the battery (disconnect the battery plume to avoid short circuit!).
3. Find the button plume – it is usually located next to the motherboard and is fixed with a metal frame.
