The easiest way is to use the built-in option in the app, which is available in current versions of TikTok (starting with 23.5.0).
- Open TikTok and tap on the profile avatar (lower right corner).
- Press three horizontal lines (β°) top-right.
- Select Settings and Privacy.
- Scroll down to the Content and Activity Settings section.
- Slip on the Dark Theme.
- Choose Included or Default (system)
If there is no dark topic, it means:
- π Your version of TikTok is outdated (update it).
- π± Your Xiaomi smartphone is working on MIUI 12 or lower (fixed firmware update required).

Method 2: Forced Enablement through MIUI settings
If TikTok ignores your settings, the problem may lie in the global dark MIUI mode. On Xiaomi, the system can redefine the design of applications, even if they support their own dark theme.
- Open the smartphone settings.
- Go to the screen (or display on some models).
- Choose Dark Theme.
- Activate the switch on.
- Scroll down and find the Forced Dark Mode (or Apply to All Apps) section.
- Enable this option and add TikTok to the exclusion list if the interface is not displayed correctly.

Method 3: Reset TikTok settings (if the theme is not saved)

On the Redmi Note 10 and older models with MIUI 12 Dark Theme in TikTok may not work through standard settings. In this case, use Method 4 (ADB).
Method 4: Enable via ADB (for power users)
If your Xiaomi is working on MIUI 12 or older version, and TikTok stubbornly ignores the settings, you can force the dark mode through the ADB-This method requires a connection to a computer.
You'll need:

Frequent problems and solutions
Even after successfully enabling a dark theme, Xiaomi users are faced with bugs.
