Why users can’t find notes on Xiaomi

The Notes app** in Xiaomi smartphones is often “hidden” out of sight — it’s not on the home screen, in the Tools folder, or even in the menu of all apps. The reason lies in the features of the MIUI shell (and the new HyperOS): the manufacturer by default hides underused system utilities to avoid cluttering the interface, and after updating or resetting, the application can “disappear” from familiar places.

Method 1: Search through the notification panel

The fastest method is to use the built-in search bar in the top bar, which works on all versions of MIUI (including HyperOS) and does not require additional settings:

1. Swipe your finger down from the top of the screen to open the notification bar.
2. Touch the field "Search" (magnifying glass in the upper right corner).
3. Enter the request: notes, notes or notebook.
4. The results will show an app icon – click on it.
