In devices running MIUI, the conversation recording function is not obvious — it is easy to skip in settings, and the files themselves are stored in unexpected folders. To open these folders:
- Use Mi File Explorer (built-in manager) or install Solid Explorer/FX File Manager.

3. How to turn on call recording if the function is not available
On some Xiaomi models (especially in the European market), the call recording option is disabled by default to activate it:

6 How to hide or protect call records
If you're recording confidential conversations, it's important to protect your files from prying eyes.
- 🔒 Transfer to a secure folder: In Mi File Explorer, select the records files → «More» → «Move to a secure folder. Set a password or fingerprint to access.
- 🌐 Download to encrypted cloud: Use Cryptomator or Proton Drive to encrypt before downloading.
