Where to look for Xiaomi conversation records: all ways for Redmi, POCO and Mi

Do you miss an important call or want to save proof of conversation, but don't know where Xiaomi stores records? Depending on the smartphone model and the version of MIUI, the ways you access audio files may vary. In some cases, the recording feature is enabled by default, in others, it needs to be activated manually or using third-party apps.

1. Standard call record in MIUI: where to look for files

On most Xiaomi smartphones (except for models for the European market), the call recording feature is built into the Phone app. However, after upgrading to MIUI 14 and HyperOS, the location of the records has changed.

2. How to enable automatic call recording

By default, Xiaomi can only record incoming or outgoing calls, depending on the region and firmware version.

4. Activate the Automatic Record switch and select the call type (all incoming or outgoing only).

2. On Google Drive: Install Automatic Call Recorder. In the app settings, select Cloud → Google Drive. Set up automatic download after the call is complete.

If you often record important conversations, create a separate folder in the cloud (like Calls 2026) and set up automatic date sorting, making it easier to find the file you want in a year or two.

For long-term storage, it is recommended:
