Xiaomi smartwatches are some of the most popular wearables on the market, but even experienced users sometimes have difficulty managing alarm clocks. You wake up from an annoying alarm, want to cancel a one-time alarm or completely remove all reminders, but do not know how to do it quickly? In this article, we will discuss all possible ways to turn off the alarm clock on different models of Xiaomi watches β from the budget Mi Band to the flagship Xiaomi Watch S3.
Complicating the problem is that the alarm control interface differs not only between series (Mi Band vs Watch), but also depending on the firmware version. In addition, some features are hidden in the Mi Fitness or Zepp Life app, which causes confusion. We have compiled current methods for 2026, including hidden settings to turn off vibration without removing the alarm clock itself.
1. How to turn off the alarm clock directly on Xiaomi watch
The fastest way is to control alarms directly from the device screen. This works on most models, except the Mi Band 3/4 (they have limited functionality), the instructions are suitable for the Xiaomi Watch S1/S2/S3, Redmi Watch 2/3, Mi Band 7/8 and later.
Algorithm of action:
- π Swipe up the main screen to open the app menu.
- β° Find the icon "Alarm clock" (on some models it is called "Reminders" or "Clock").
- π΅ Click on the active alarm (marked with a tick or green).
- π In the window that opens, select "Disable" or swipe the switch to the left.
On Xiaomi Watch S3 and Redmi Watch 3 Active, you can turn off the alarm right while it is triggered: swipe left on the screen with the signal and click βSwitch offβ.
π‘
If the alarm doesnβt turn off the first time, try resetting the watch: press the power button 10 seconds before the Xiaomi logo appears.
Important: on the Mi Band 5/6, if the alarm clock is turned off after hours, it can be activated again after synchronization with the phone, in which case you will have to duplicate the action in the application.
2.Manage alarm clocks through the Mi Fitness/Zepp Life app
To control alarm clocks, it's better to use the official app. Since 2023, Xiaomi has been gradually replacing Mi Fitness with Zepp Life, but the functionality remains the same. Let's consider both options.
Instructions for Zepp Life (relevant to Xiaomi Watch S2, Redmi Watch 3 and later):
- Open the app and go to the Profile tab (the person icon at the bottom).
- Select your watch from the list of connected devices.
- Slip on the "Alarm clocks" (or "Reminders β Alarm clocks" in older versions).
- Press the desired alarm and swipe the "Activne" slider to the left.
- To remove, click "Delete" (basket icon) in the top corner.
In Mi Fitness, the path is a little different: Device β Alarm clocks β Select alarms β Turn off. Here you can also adjust repeatability (daily, weekdays, etc.) and signal type (vibration, sound).
| Model clock | Annex | The way to alarm clocks | Features |
|---|---|---|---|
| Xiaomi Watch S3 | Zepp Life | Profile β Device β Alarms | You can set up a gradual alarm (smooth awakening) |
| Redmi Watch 2 | Mi Fitness | The device β reminders β alarm clocks | There is no "delay" function, only disable. |
| Mi Band 7 | Both | Similar to the Redmi Watch 2 | Maximum 10 alarm clocks at the same time |
3. Turning off the alarm clock during operation
If the alarm is ringing and you want to stop it, there are several ways to do it, depending on the model:
- ποΈ On the Xiaomi Watch S1/S2 Redmi Watch 3: Swipe left on the screen with the alarm and press "Switch off".
- π On the Mi Band. 5/6/7: press the physical button once to turn off or twice to set aside on 10 minute.
- π΄ On all models: you can turn off the alarm clock via your phone - open the notification about the operation in the curtain Android/iOS and press "Disable".
Note that on some Mi Band firmware, the alarm can continue to vibrate even after the button is pressed, in which case only a complete shutdown through the app will help.

4.How to turn off the vibration of the alarm without removing it

On the Xiaomi Watch S2/S3:
- Open the alarm menu on the clock.
- Select the desired alarm clock and click "Edit".
- Scroll to "Signal Type" and select "No Sound" or "Screen Only".

- π§ Go to the alarm settings.
- π In the "Signal" section, disable the "Vibration" option (leaving a tick only on "Screen").
Make sure the alarm clock isnβt the only one.|Check the charge level (below 15% vibration may not work)|Sync your phone clock after changes|Test new settings in advance-->
5.Reset all alarm clocks to factory settings
If there are too many alarm clocks on the list or they are not working properly, you can reset them completely, which will remove all the user alarms, but save the rest of the clock settings.
Method 1: Through the application
- Open Zepp Life or Mi Fitness.
- Go to the alarm clock section.
- Click on the three dots in the top corner and select "Delete All".
- Confirm the action.
Method 2: In the Watch (for Xiaomi Watch S3 and Redmi Watch 3)
- Open the alarm menu on the clock.
- Scroll down and select "Alarms Control".
- Press "Reset settings."

Resetting alarm clocks does not affect health data, steps or notifications; it is a safe procedure if you need to start from scratch.
After resetting, it is recommended to reset the watch and sync it with the phone to avoid firmware conflicts.
6. Problem Solving: The alarm clock does not turn off or is triggered arbitrarily
Sometimes alarm clocks on Xiaomi behave unpredictably, and here are the typical problems and solutions:
| Problem. | Possible cause | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| The alarm clock is triggered at random times. | Conflict with reminders of inactivity | Turn off βMovement Reminderβ in your health settings |
| It doesn't go off in hours. | Outdated firmware | Update the software through Settings β System β Update |
| Vibration works, but there's no screen. | Animation failure | Reset the screen settings in the Display β Reset |
If the alarm goes off at the wrong time, check:
- β±οΈ Time zone on the clock and phone (should match).
- π Automatic time synchronization in settings.
- π± Permits for Mi Fitness/Zepp Life (access to hours, notifications).
π‘
On some firmware, Mi Band 6 helps disable the Smart Alarm feature (sleep phase analysis). Find it in the sleep settings in the app.
β οΈ Note: If after updating the firmware alarm clocks stopped working at all, try rolling back the software version through Zepp Life (section "Updates" β History. This is relevant to the Xiaomi Watch. S2 firmware-wired 2023.
7. Alternative methods: voice commands and automation
Advanced users can control alarm clocks with voice assistants or automation:
With Alice (for a watch with a microphone, for example, Xiaomi Watch S3):
- Activate the voice assistant with a long press of a button.
- Say, "Switch off the alarm for 7:00."
- Confirm the action on the screen.
Google Assistant (Android 8+ is required):
- π± Make sure that Zepp Life includes Google integration.
- π€ Say, βHey Google, turn off the alarm clock on my Xiaomi watch".
- π Wait for synchronization (can take up to 1 minute).
Automation via Tasker or Shortcuts (iOS) requires:
- Install the Zepp Life Automate plugin (available on GitHub).
- Create a task with the team disable_alarm:all.
- Assign a trigger (e.g., geolocation "Home").
β οΈ Note: Voice commands only work in English and Chinese in firmware up to version 4.6.2. For Russian, you will need manual tuning via MoreLocales 2.
