Advertising on Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 smartphones has become one of the most talked-about issues among MIUI users. Even after buying the device, many are faced with intrusive banners in system applications, notifications about "recommended services" and sponsored content in the settings menu. The manufacturer has integrated ad modules so deeply that they appear even in the file explorer, calendar and security center.
In this article, we will discuss all the current ways to disable ads on the Redmi Note 10 (including the Pro, Pro Max and 5G models) running on MIUI 12-14. It is important to understand that some of the ads can be removed through standard settings, but to completely remove it will require interference with system services, we will show how to do this without root rights and without risking loss of warranty.
Before you start, check the MIUI version: go to Settings → About → About → MIUI version. This depends on the availability of some menu items. Also note that after major updates, the paths to settings may change - we have updated the instructions for MIUI 14 (Android 13).

The first step is to deactivate targeted ads that are displayed based on your activity, a method that won’t remove all ads, but will significantly reduce the number of ads, especially in Mi Browser, Mi Video and GetApps apps.
Instructions:
- 📱 Open the Settings. → Xiaomi account (if not authorized, log in).
- 🔍 Scroll down and select Privacy. → Advertising settings.
- 🔄 Switch the slider Personalized recommendations to the off position.
- 🚫 In the same menu, turn off interest-based advertising and display ads in Xiaomi services.
After you apply the changes, restart your phone, and the effect will not be immediately apparent — it may take up to 24 hours for the system to stop collecting data about your preferences.

If you don’t have Ad Settings on the menu, update the Mi Account app via GetApps or Google Play. In older versions of MIUI, this section could be called Ad Preferences.
2. Blocking advertising in system applications
MIUI is actively implementing advertising in standard utilities: Explorer, Calendar, Music and even Settings. To turn it off, you need to manually edit the settings of each application.

Note that some regional versions of MIUI (e.g. India or Europe) may not have a part of the items, in which case resetting the application settings to factory settings will help:
- Go to Settings → Applications → Application Management.
- Select a problem app (such as Mi Browser).
- Click Warehouse → Clear data and Reset settings.
3. Removing advertising through hidden MIUI settings (method for experienced)
V MIUI There are hidden parameters that allow you to disable the ad modules at the system level, and this is a way that requires accuracy, but does not violate the warranty. ADB-Teams – a tool for debugging Android.
Preparation:
- 🖥️ Install. ADB Tools on PC (Windows/macOS/Linux).
- 📱 On the phone, activate Developer Mode: go to Settings → About the phone and 7 times click on the version MIUI.
- 🔌 Back to Settings → Additionally. → For developers and enable debugging by USB.
- 🔗 Connect your phone to your PC and confirm your trust in your computer.
Now open the command prompt (or Terminal) in the ADB folder and enter sequentially:

Important! After you execute the commands, restart your phone. Some system features (like Quick Share) may stop working -- that's OK, because we've removed the associated ad modules.

4. Blocking Advertising Notifications through Android Settings
MIUI uses Android’s standard notification mechanism to display ads, which can be turned off without additional tools:
Steps:
- Go to Settings → Notifications → Notifications Management.
- In the list of applications, find: 📌 MiuiDaemon (responsible for background advertising processes); 📌 DownloadManager (shows notifications about "popular apps"); 📌 SecurityCenter (Advertising in the Security Center).

Also, check Special Access → Notifications for other apps, which may be hiding services like Mi Push Service or Xiaomi Service Framework that also send ads, and disable permission to display notifications for them.

Even after disabling notifications, some system applications (e.g., the Security Center) can continue to display ads within the interface, in which case only the ADB method from the previous section will help.
5. Use of third-party tools (without root)
If standard methods don't work, you can use specialized utilities. They don't require root rights, but some functions can work unstable.
Top.-3 tested applications:
- 🛡️ App Ops, which allows you to disable permissions for system applications, for example, you can block MiuiDaemon from accessing the Internet, which will stop the loading of ads. APK s XDA Developers (officially removed from Google Play).In the app settings, find MiuiDaemon and turn off Internet permissions and Show over other windows.
- 🚫 Blokada – Blocker of Advertising at the Level DNS. Effectively removes banners in the browser and some system applications. Install from the official website. Activate Aggressive Block Mode and blacklist the domains ad.mi.com, tracker.miui.com.
- 🔧 MIUI Hidden Settings – Opens up access to hidden settings MIUI, including the adverts being turned off. 4PDA. In the Ad Settings menu, turn off all sliders.
⚠️ Note: Apps like App Ops may conflict with MIUI and cause system services to malfunction. Before using, back up your data through Settings → Additionally. → Backup and reset.
6. Alternative methods: region change and firmware
If nothing works, consider radical ways: they require more effort, but they are guaranteed to remove advertising.
Replacement of MIUI region with EEA (Europe):
In the European version of MIUI, there are significantly fewer ads due to local data protection laws.
- Download the MIUI EEA firmware for your model from the official website.
- Go to Settings. → The phone. → Updating the system → ⋮ → Select a Service Package.
- Select the downloaded file and wait for the installation.
Install custom firmware (for advanced users):
LineageOS or Pixel Experience firmware completely removes all Xiaomi ad modules, but requires unlocking the bootloader and may be warranty-free.For more detailed instructions, look at XDA Developers for a specific Redmi Note 10 model.
