Screenshots on Xiaomi Poco smartphones are one of the most popular features, but not all users know about all the available methods. Depending on the model (Poco F5, X5 Pro, M6 Pro, etc.) and the version of MIUI, the algorithm may differ: somewhere the classic combination of buttons works, and somewhere gestures or even voice commands are available. In this article, we will analyze all the current methods of creating screenshots, including little-known chips for advanced users.
The Poco lineup features an optimized Android-based shell where some features are hidden or require activation. For example, on the Poco X6 Pro, the screenshot with three fingers is disabled by default, although hardware support is available. We will show you how to enable these options and avoid typical errors (such as accidentally triggering gestures during games), and you will also learn where screenshots are saved, how to edit them right after creation, and why sometimes the picture is not taken the first time.
1. Classic method: power buttons + volume
The most versatile method, which works on all Poco models (from Poco M2 to Poco F6) and any version of MIUI.
- Open the screen you want to capture (for example, a dialog in the messenger or a page in the browser).
- At the same time, press the power button (right) and the volume reduction button (left).
- Hold them for 1-2 seconds until you hear the shutter sound or see an animation of the screenshot.
⚠️ Note: On some models (e.g. Poco) C55) Buttons are delayed. If you don't get a screenshot, try it:
- 🔄 Press the buttons with a slight advance (first power, after 0.2 seconds - volume).
- 🧹 Clear the system cache in Settings → Memory. → Cleaning (sometimes lags interfere with the operation).
- 🔋 Reboot your phone if the buttons don’t respond.
Where to look for a screenshot? By default, files are saved in /storage/emulated/0/Pictures/Screenshots/. In the gallery, they are displayed in the Screenshots album.
2. Three-finger gesture: quick screenshot without buttons
The Three-Finger Screenshot feature is available on all Pocos with MIUI 12 and up, but it is often disabled by default.
- Go to Settings → Special features → Gestures.
- Select "Three-finger screenshot".

If you have Google Assistant on or XiaoAI on, you can take a voiceshot of the screen, which is convenient when your hands are busy or the buttons are not working.
For Google Assistant:
- Say, “Okay Google, take a screenshot.”
- Confirm the action in the window that appears.
For XiaoAI (works on Chinese firmware or global with regional patch):
- Activate the assistant with a long hold of the Home button or a voice: (Xiao Ai Tongxue).
- Say, "" (Jietu is Chinese for screenshot) or "Take a screenshot."
⚠️ Attention: On Poco M5s POCO X4 Pro with global firmware XiaoAI may not recognize voice commands in Russian:

If the voice assistant doesn't respond, check the microphone permissions in Settings → Apps → Permissions → Microphone. Sometimes, after a MIUI update, access is reset.
4 Screenshot with scrolling: long pages in one file
Scrolling Screenshot allows you to capture an entire web page, chat or document that doesn’t fit on a single screen, running in a browser, instant messengers (Telegram, WhatsApp) and some applications (such as Xiaomi Community).
How to do this:
- Take a regular screenshot in any way (buttons or gestures).
- Immediately after the appearance of the thumbnail in the lower right corner, click on it.
- Select the option "Scroll" (or "Scroll" in English firmware).
- Wait for the automatic scroll of the page and click "Done".

5. Hidden features: editing and fast sending
After you take a screenshot of Poco, you get a quick action panel, and many people ignore it, but there are some useful options hidden there:

- 📤 Quick Submit: Share it to Telegram, WhatsApp or Save it to Google Drive.

How to set up the panel for yourself:
