The vibration of typing on Xiaomi can be annoying β especially if you type a lot or use your smartphone in silence. This haptic feedback is enabled by default in MIUI firmware, but it is easy to disable in several ways. The problem is that the settings are hidden in different menus depending on the version of the shell and the phone model β from the flagship Xiaomi 13 Pro to the budget Redmi Note 12.

We will also discuss why vibrations can spontaneously turn on after updates and how to prevent this. 1. Standard shutdown in MIUI settings
The easiest way to remove vibration is through the basic system settings. It works on all Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO devices with MIUI 12-15, but the path to the menu may be slightly different.
Open Settings β Sound and vibration. Scroll down to Vibration and click on Vibration when you press. Here you will see three options:

3. Reset keyboard settings to factory

For MIUI Keyboard:
- Go to Settings β Applications β Application Management.
- Find the MIUI (or Input Method) keyboard and open it.
- Press Warehouse. β Clear the data.
- Confirm the action and restart the phone.
For Gboard:
- Open Settings β Apps β Gboard.
- Select Warehouse β Clear cache and Clear data.
- After resetting, reset the keyboard (language, theme, etc.).

If the standard methods don't work, you can use the hidden settings for developers, which is more radical and requires caution.
First, activate the developer mode:
- Go to Settings. β The phone.
- Find the MIUI version and click on it 7 times in a row.
- Enter a password/pattern lock if required.
Now open Settings β More β For developers and find the following options:

Method 1: Disconnecting through ADB
Connect your phone to your PC, enable USB Debugging in the developer settings and execute the command:

Method 2: Delete system files (for experienced ones only!)
This method requires root rights and a backup of the system. Delete the following files via Root Explorer:
