1. Standard method: through phone settings
The most obvious, but not always the most effective, method is to use the built-in MIUI settings, and the problem is that after the updates, the menu can be hidden in different sections. Here's the actual way for Redmi 7:
- Open the settings (cog icon)
- Go to Sound and Vibration.
- Slip on the ringtone (on some firmware - Ringtone)
- Select one of the standard tunes or click + to add your file
An important nuance: if you have a two-sim Redmi 7, you can also assign different ringtones for each of them. SIM-For this, it's a map:

- Download or copy the audio file to your phone (for example, to the Downloads folder)
- Open the standard Files (or any other manager)
- Find your file and hold your finger on it. → More. → Use it as a ringtone.
- Confirm the choice in the window that appears
