For example, when the appliance is used by all family members, or you want to give access to the cleaner, but are not ready to share passwords from the main account. In this article, we will discuss in detail how many phones can be connected to the Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaner, how to do it correctly and what pitfalls can arise.

How many devices Xiaomi supports
According to Xiaomi documentation, most modern robot vacuum cleaners (2020 and later) support up to 5 simultaneously connected smartphones to a single device.

Important: connecting additional phones doesn't mean they can all operate the vacuum cleaner at the same time. The device that last sent the command is the priority, for example, if you start cleaning from your smartphone, and after a minute someone else sends a command to "back to base" from your phone, the vacuum cleaner will execute the second command.
How to check current connected devices
To find out how many phones are already tied to your vacuum cleaner, follow the following steps:
- Open the Mi Home or Xiaomi Home app.
- Select your robot vacuum cleaner from the list of devices.
- Go to Settings → Sharing (or Device Management → Sharing in newer versions).
- In the User List section, all associated accounts will be displayed.
If you have devices you don't know, you can remove them (more on this in the next section). Please note that some firmware may display a user list that is not properly displayed, such as showing only active connections in the last 30 days.
