How to turn off the robot vacuum cleaner Xiaomi Mi: all the ways and subtleties

Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum cleaners have become an integral part of smart homes, but even such advanced devices sometimes need to be forced to shut down. Whether you want to save battery power, move the device to another room or just stop cleaning, it is important to do this correctly so as not to damage the internal mechanisms. In this article, we will discuss all possible ways to turn off the Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum cleaner, including hidden features and nuances for different models.

Many users mistakenly believe that it is enough to just press the power button, but depending on the firmware version and model (Mi Robot Vacuum, Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop, Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2, etc.) the process may be different. Moreover, some methods of shutting down can cause a device to malfunction if performed incorrectly. For example, removing the battery without prior software shutdown is fraught with damage to the charge controller.
