Xiaomi’s current security systems are tied to a digital key that is transmitted through the application, so complying with the connection instructions is a critical step before you start operating.
Preparation for the first launch and charging
Before trying to connect gadgets, you need to make sure that the battery scooter has sufficient charge. Factory equipment usually implies a partial charge, but it may not be enough for the full operation of the Bluetooth module and bright display illumination. It is recommended to put the device on charge for at least 2-3 hours, even if the indicators show a high level of energy.
Use only the original charger that comes with the kit, or a certified counterpart with identical voltage and current parameters. After installation, launch the application and create a Xiaomi account if you do not already have one. Registration is required to save travel statistics and link the device to the cloud service. When you first log in, the system can request permission to use geolocation, Bluetooth and push notifications - agree with all requests for the correct functionality.
The important thing is to choose the region in the application settings: If the scooter is designed for the European or Russian market, choose the appropriate country (for example, Russia or Germany). Choosing the wrong region (for example, China) can lead to the fact that the application simply does not see your device when searching.
The interface of the Mi Home app is intuitive, but it has its own features. In the upper right corner is the add button, marked with the symbol "plus". By clicking on it, you will start an automatic search for available gadgets within the range of Bluetooth. Make sure that your phone is not more than 1-2 meters from the scooter.
The process of pairing a scooter and a smartphone

In rare cases, you need to completely reset the scooter to the factory. This usually uses a combination of buttons (clamp the gas, brake and power button for 10 seconds at the same time), but this should only be done as a last resort, as it will reset all the mileage and calibration settings.
