Voice assistants and smart speakers are no longer a curiosity — they have become an integral part of the modern smart home. Yandex Station is able to manage dozens of devices, but many users face difficulties when trying to connect to it Xiaomi gadgets. The problem lies not in compatibility (most Mi Home devices are officially supported), but in confusing settings and the lack of a single instruction.
In this article, we will look at all the current ways of connecting, from simple synchronization via the Yandex app to manual adjustment via Mi Home and Alice. Separately, we will focus on typical errors (for example, when the station “cannot see” the device) and give a checklist for diagnosing problems. If you use the Xiaomi Mi Band, a robot vacuum cleaner, a Yeelight smart lamp or even a Mi TV, here you will find working solutions.
Important: the instruction is relevant for all models of Yandex Stations (Mini, Lite, Max, with display) and Xiaomi devices released after 2018.
1.What Xiaomi devices are compatible with Yandex Station?
Not all Xiaomi gadgets can be connected directly to Yandex Stations, but devices integrated into the Mi Home or Yeelight ecosystem are officially supported, as well as some models with the MiOT protocol.
- 💡 Smart lighting: Yeelight, Mi lamps LED, Xiaomi LED strips.
- 🧹 Robot vacuum cleaners: all Mi Robot Vacuum models (including the Mi Robot Vacuum) S10, X10+).
- 🔌 Smart sockets and switches: Mi Smart Plug, Aqara (a sub-brand of Xiaomi).
- 🌡️ Sensors and climate: Mi Temperature & Humidity Sensor, Mi Air Conditioner.
- 📺 Multimedia: TVs Mi TV (From 2020, Mi Smart Projector projectors.
Not supported (2026): Mi Band fitness bracelets (except music control), most Redmi devices without MiOT protocol, and gadgets tied only to Google Home.
To check the compatibility of a particular model, open the Yandex → Devices → Add → Xiaomi. If your gadget is on the list, you can connect it.
2. Method 1: Connect via Yandex application
The easiest method is to use the official Yandex app (available for Android and iOS), which works for most Mi Home devices and does not require additional manipulation.
Step-by-step:
- Open the Yandex app and go to Devices section (home icon in the bottom menu).
- Click Add Device → select a category (e.g., Lighting for lamp).
- In the list of brands, find Xiaomi and choose your model. If you don't have one, try the "Other Xiaomi Device" option.
- Follow the instructions on the screen: usually you need to turn the device into pairing mode (for example, for a lamp - 3 times turn on / off the power).
- Confirm the connection in the Mi Home app if a request appears.
If the device is not located, check:
- 🔄 Is the firmware on Yandex Station updated (go to Settings) → About the device).
- 📶 The device and station are connected to the same Wi-Fi network (2.4 GHz, not 5 GHz!).
- 🔌 The device is on and is within a radius of 5 meters from the station.

3. Method 2: Synchronization through Mi Home and Alice
If your device doesn't show up in Yandex but works in Mi Home, you can use Alice's voice assistant as an intermediary, a method that's suitable for robot vacuum cleaners, air conditioners and some sensors.
Algorithm of action:
- Make sure that the device is already added to Mi Home and linked to your Xiaomi account.
- Open the Yandex application → Profile → Settings → Smart home → Connect the service.
- Choose Mi Home and sign in with the same account as in the Xiaomi app.
- Allow access to devices (SMS confirmation may be required).
- After synchronization, say Yandex Station: “Alice, turn on [device name].”
Important: Some devices (such as Mi Air Purifier) require manually adding commands in Alice. Go to Alice Settings → Smart Home → Device Settings → Add a command and create your own phrase (such as “Clean the Air”).
If the synchronization is not successful:
- 🔄 Restart Yandex Station (turn off power for 30 seconds).
- 📱 Delete and re-add Mi Home account in Yandex settings.
- 🌐 Check that your device is tied to the same region as your Yandex account (e.g., Russia) in Mi Home»).
What if Mi Home does not connect to Yandex?
Method 3: Manual Wi-Fi connection (for experienced)
This method is suitable for devices that are not officially supported but have MiOT or Tuya protocol (for example, some smart sockets). IP-address.
Instructions:
- Find out. IP-The address of Xiaomi device on your network:
Yandex
Devices → Add → Other Device → Enter IP
80
54321
MiOT
device
Mi Home
Mi Home Token Extractor
⚠️
Warning: Manual connection can disrupt the device warranty and lead to unstable operation. Use this method only if other methods have not worked.
Example of successful connection for Xiaomi Mi Smart Plug:
| Parameter | Meaning |
|---|---|
| IP-address | 192.168.1.105 |
| Port port | 54321 |
| Protocol | MiOT |
| token | a1b2c3d4e5f6... (hidden) |
💡
If the device after manual connection is unstable, try to attach a static IP-address in the router settings, which will prevent connection breaks when the network is restarted.
5. Typical errors and their solutions
Even with the right connection, users often have problems. TOP-5 errors and ways of eliminating them:
- 🚫 «No device found»:
- 🔒 «No access to Mi Home»:
- 🗣️ «Alice doesn't understand the team»:
- 🔄 «The device is connected but does not respond»:
- ⚠️ «Xiaomi server error»:
⚠️
Attention: If after connecting the Xiaomi device began to work slower or shut down, check the load on the network. Some smart gadgets (for example, cameras) consume a lot of traffic, which may conflict with the work of Yandex Station.
6. Connecting Mi TVs to Yandex Station
Xiaomi Mi TVs (2020 and newer models) support direct integration with Alice, but there are a few extra steps to take to do that.
Instructions:
- Update your TV firmware to the latest version (Settings → About TV → Software Update).
- Enable Voice Assistant in TV settings (Settings → Smart Home → Voice Control).
- In the Yandex app go to Devices → Add → TVs → Xiaomi.
- Follow the instructions on the screen – you will need to enter the code from the TV.
Once connected, you can control the TV voice:
- 📺 «Alice, turn on the TV in the room».
- 🔊 «Alice, turn the volume on 50%».
- 🎬 «Alice, turn on Netflix on the TV».
⚠️
Note: On Mi TVs older than 2019, voice control via Yandex Station may not work smoothly, in which case use an infrared remote (e.g. Xiaomi Mi Remote) connected to the station.
💡
For Xiaomi TVs, be sure to update the firmware - in older versions there is no support for the Yandex protocol, and connection will be impossible.
7. Alternative management methods (if nothing works)
If none of these methods worked, consider alternatives:
- 🤖 Use Google Home as a mediator:
These methods are more difficult to set up, but even incompatible devices can be connected, such as the Mi Band, which is limited to the functionality, using Home Assistant.
