In this article, we will examine all the ways of synchronization, from standard connection via Mi Home to alternative methods for older models.
It's important to understand that the process depends on the aerogrill model (e.g. Mi Smart Air Fryer or Mijia Air Fryer Pro), the firmware version and even the purchase region. We took these nuances into account and collected current data for 2026, including changes in the Xiaomi application interface. If you have tried to connect but nothing has worked, do not rush to reset: in 90% of cases, the problem is solved by adjusting network settings or updating the software.
1.What Xiaomi Aerogrill models support phone connection
Not all of the brand’s aerogrills can be synced to a smartphone, here’s the current list of supported devices (as of May 2026):
- 🔹 Xiaomi Mi Smart Air Fryer 3.5L (model DMF01) — Basic version with Wi-Fi and Mi Home support.
- 🔹 Mijia Air Fryer Pro 4L (model DMF02) — Extended features, compatibility with Mi Smart and Google Home.
- 🔹 Xiaomi Smart Air Fryer 5.5L (model DMF03) — flagship model with touch screen and two-way communication.
- 🔹 Redmi Air Fryer 4L (model RMF01) — Budget option, connects only via Bluetooth.
If your model is not listed, check its code (indicated on the sticker at the back or under the bottom).Old devices (such as the Viomi Air Fryer before 2021) may require a separate Viomi Home app that Xiaomi no longer supports, in which case the universal Tuya Smart app will be an alternative - but more on that later.

Preparation for connection: what to do before synchronization
Before you start connecting, make sure that all the prerequisites are met:
Install the Mi Home or Mi Smart app (links at the end of the article)
Update your phone to the latest version (Android) 10+/iOS 14+)
Connect the aerogrill to the socket and turn it on with the power button
Make sure your phone and air grill are on the same Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz!)

Pay special attention to the type of Wi-Fi network. Xiaomi aerogrilis do not support 5 GHz networks - only 2.4 GHz (SSID), Separate them in the router settings:

- 🔒 Network password is shorter than 32 characters and does not include spaces.
- 🌍 The region in the Mi Home is set as China mainland (even for global models).
If you have a Redmi Air Fryer that only supports Bluetooth, you don’t need Wi-Fi – but make sure your phone has Bluetooth enabled and Mi Home permissions (location access is a must for Android!).

3. Step-by-step instruction: connection via Mi Home
This is the main way of synchronization for most models. Follow the instructions strictly by steps:
- Open Mi Home and log in (or create an account). Go to Devices → Add the device (+).
- Select the category "Kitchen) → «If the model is not listed, search by name (e.g, DMF02).
- Confirm the flashing indicator on the air grill. If it does not blink, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
- Connect to the temporary network aerogrill_**** (No password required. Then return to Mi Home.
- Select your Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz only!) and enter a password. Wait until sync is complete (up to 2 minutes).
If you have a “failed to connect” error in step 4, try:
- 🔄 Reboot the aerogril (remove the fork for 10 seconds).
- 📱 Reinstall Mi Home (sometimes the app cache interferes with the connection).
- 🌐 Change. DNS on a phone on 8.8.8.8 (Google) or 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare).

Method 1: Connect via Mi Smart (for new models)
The Mi Smart app (formerly Mi Home for Europe) sometimes works better with global versions of devices.
