Xiaomi vacuum cleaners are no longer a luxury β today it's for those who value cleanliness and save time. But to make the device work at full power, it needs to be connected correctly to a smartphone. Without synchronization, you lose half of the functions: remote control, mapping, cleaning schedules and even voice commands through Alice or Google Assistant.
In this article, we will analyze all the stages of configuration - from installing the Mi Home app to solving typical problems such as connection errors or Wi-Fi failures. Particular attention will be paid to the models of 2022-2026 (including Xiaomi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2 Pro, DreameBot). D10 Plus and Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P, because their firmware is different from the older versions. If you have a vacuum cleaner released before 2020, some steps may be slightly different, which we will mention too.
Important: the connection process takes no more than 10 minutes, but requires a stable Internet and the right region in Mi Home. If you live in Russia, but the application indicates China, the vacuum cleaner may not connect to Xiaomi servers - this is the most common mistake of beginners.
1.What Xiaomi vacuum cleaner models support phone connection
Not all Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaners can be controlled from a smartphone, but here are the key compatibility criteria:
- πΉ Mi Robot Vacuum Series: All models since Mi Robot Vacuum 1 (2016) β including Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2S, Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P and Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2 Pro.
- πΉ Dreame line (a sub-brand of Xiaomi): DreameBot D9, D10 Plus, L10 Pro and newer. Outdated models like Dreame V9 You may need to manually adjust via Tuya Smart.
- πΉ Supported vacuum cleaners LDS/Laser navigation: all devices with laser scanner (e.g. Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop) 2 Lite+) They have a Wi-Fi module.
- πΉ Budget models without Wi-Fi: Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner 1C (2020) and some options for the Chinese market are controlled only from the remote control.
How do you check your model's compatibility?
- The presence of a Wi-Fi button or network icon on the case / console.
- Mention of Mi Home or Xiaomi Home in the instructions.
- Support for the protocol 802.11 b/g/n on 2.4 GHz (5 GHz is not supported!).
β οΈ Warning: Vacuum cleaners for the Chinese market (with suffix) CN In models, you may need to change the region in Mi Home to China or to use the firmware through Mi Home Hacked!
