Did you miss an important call because Xiaomi didn't show a number on the screen? Or do you have to wonder who's trying to reach you? The problem of invisible incoming numbers is one of the most annoying malfunctions of smartphones. It can occur on both new models (Redmi Note 13 Pro+, Xiaomi 14 Ultra) and on devices from 2018-2022 (Redmi 9A, Poco X3).
In this article, we’ll look at all the possible reasons why Xiaomi doesn’t see who’s calling, from simple setup errors to hidden firmware failures. And most importantly, we’ll give you 10 proven ways to get numbers back, including rare methods that aren’t mentioned on forums. Don’t rush your phone to service — you can solve the problem yourself in 90% of cases in 5-15 minutes.
1. Check the basic phone settings
Start with the obvious: it’s possible that the number display is disabled in the system settings. Xiaomi has three menus for this – all of which can get lost after updates or resets.
The first thing to do is:
- 📱 Open the Settings. → Annexes → Phone and check if the switch "Show the number of the caller" is switched on".
- 🔍 Go to Settings. → Communication and SIM-map → Call settings and make sure the caller identification option is active".
- 🛠️ In the same section, find the option "Additional settings" and turn off Hiding numbers (if any).
If you use two of them SIM-If you have a card, check the settings for each individual, there are times when the number doesn't show up on just one of the cards. SIM, The other one works correctly, and this is often due to different operator profiles on different maps.
2.Problems with SIM-card-carrier
If the settings are fine but the numbers are still not visible, it may be your mobile operator’s fault. Some providers (especially virtual ones like Tele2 or Yota) by default hide the caller’s identity to save traffic on the network.
How to check:
- 📞 Call from another phone to your Xiaomi – if the number doesn’t show up, the problem is definitely on the operator’s side.
- 💳 Put it in. SIM-If the number is still not visible, the operator is to blame.
- 📡 Check the balance: sometimes the number service is turned off when the balance is negative (relevant for MTS and Beeline).
Decisions:
- Dial it. USSD-command to activate the service: MTS: *111*087# Beeline: *110*09# MegaFon: *105*453# Tele2: *155*2#
"Anti-Spam"
"Definition of number"
MTS Ultra.
Beeline "Everything."
💡
If you travel frequently, check your roaming settings. In some countries (e.g. UAE or China), local operators block caller ID transmission by default.

- 📡 Failure of the antenna module (especially after falls or moisture infestation).
- 🔌 Problems with the communication module (for example, after a failed repair).

💡
If you lose the Internet after you reset the APN, don't worry, just reboot your phone. The settings will be automatically adjusted from the operator's network.
7. Google account and sync issues
On Xiaomi phones, contacts and call history are linked to a Google account, and if sync is lost, the phone may not see the stored numbers, which causes incoming calls to appear as "Unknown" even from familiar subscribers.
How to fix it:
- Go to Settings → Accounts and Sync → Google.
- Make sure that the synchronization of "Contacts" and "Telephone Application Data" is enabled.
- Click "Sync Now."
If the synchronization is not working:
