You missed an important call on your Xiaomi Redmi but can't find it in history? This problem is familiar to many smartphone users of the brand - especially after MIUI updates or settings reset. Unlike an iPhone or "pure" Android, Xiaomi's interface hides some menu elements, and the standard Phone app doesn't always work intuitively.
In this article, we’ll look at all the ways you can view missed calls on the Redmi Note 12/11/10 Pro, Redmi 9/10/A2 and other models, from basic to hidden features. You’ll learn where to look for inbox history, how to recover deleted records and why calls sometimes “disappear” from the log, and how to set up notifications to keep important calls from missing.
If you use a dual SIM- card or a third-party calling app (like Truecaller or Google Phone), the search algorithm may be different.
1. Standard method: call log in the "Phone" application
The most obvious way is to open the built-in Phone app (a handset icon, usually on the home screen or in the Google folder), but even here, many users get lost — especially if they have previously used smartphones from other brands.
Here are the steps for all versions of MIUI 12/13/14:
- 📱 Open the Phone app (if it isn't on the home screen, search through the swipe down).
- 📜 Go to the Journal tab (or History - name depends on the firmware version).
- 🔍 At the top of the screen, select the Missed filter (on some models, you must first click on the 🔍 icon or "Search").
- ⏳ If there are a lot of calls, use the slider on the right for a quick scroll through the dates.

- If the notification of the call is still there, tap it - the "Phone" application will open with a suggestion to call back.

On Redmi with MIUI 14, notification history is only stored for 24 hours. To increase this period, go to Settings → Notifications → Notification History → Store notifications and select a maximum of 7 days.
Please note that if the call was from an unknown number or blocked contact, the notification may not be displayed at all. In this case, check Settings → Applications → Phone → Lock numbers.
3. Google Sync: How to Recover Your Call History
If missed calls have disappeared from the log after resetting or flashing, you can try to restore them through Google Account.This feature only works if sync was previously enabled.
Instructions for recovery:

4 Double SIM- Card Problems: Why Calls Are Not Showed
If you use two SIM- cards on Redmi, missed calls may not be displayed correctly, most often because of:
- 📶 Incorrectly selected SIM for calls (using SIM1 by default).
- 🔕 Disabled Call Waiting service from the operator.
- 📵 Hardware problems with the SIM- card tray (especially on the Redmi Note 9/10 with plastic trays).
How to check the settings:
- Open the Settings. → SIM-maps and mobile networks.
- Select the SIM- card that does not receive call notifications.

6. Hidden MIUI functions: system call log
If missed calls are not displayed in the log or notifications, you can try them in the system log, which is suitable for advanced users, because it requires access to an engineering menu.
Instructions for viewing the call log:
- Open the phone app and enter the code: ##4636##
- In the menu that opens, select Phone Information (or Phone Information).
- Scroll down to the Log of Calls section (it is called Call Log on some firmware).
- All incoming and outgoing calls will be displayed here, including those that did not make it to the standard log.

How to export the call log?
On Redmi with MediaTek processor (like Redmi 9A or Note 11), the engineering menu may be different. If the code ##4636## doesn't work, try #86583## (test log).
7.Why missed calls disappear from the log
If missed calls are self-deleted from the history, the reasons may be as follows:
- 🧹 Autoclean: MIUI has an automatic call log cleaner over 30 days. Check Settings → Warehouse → Cleanup.
- 🔋 Battery Optimization: If the Phone application has aggressive optimization enabled, it may not save history. Turn it off in Settings → Battery → Battery Optimization.

8 What to do if nothing helps
If you’ve tried all the ways but missed calls still don’t show up, there are some drastic measures left:
- Reset the settings of the Phone app: Settings → Applications → Application management → Phone → Storage → Reset After reset, restart your smartphone and check the log.
- Fastboot Flash: If the problem occurred after the MIUI update, return to the previous firmware version using the Mi Flash Tool.
- Contacting the service center: If missed calls are not displayed on only one SIM- card, there may be a problem with the modem or antenna unit (especially after falls or moisture).
On the Redmi Note 12 and later, there is another way to turn on the developer mode and manually set the settings of the telephony module:
- Activate Developer Mode (7 times click on the MIUI version in Settings → About Phone).
