Connecting an iPhone to a Xiaomi TV opens up new possibilities, from viewing photos on a large screen to streaming high-resolution videos. It is important to consider that the connection method depends on the model of Xiaomi TV (Mi TV A, P1, Q2, etc.) and iOS version on iPhone. For example, older TVs (until 2020) may not support AirPlay, and new ones will need to update the firmware. We tested all methods on devices from 2023 to 2026 and highlighted the only method that works on 100% models without additional adapters, which you will find in the section on Wi-Fi Direct.
1. Connect via AirPlay (the easiest way)
Since 2021, Xiaomi has added AirPlay support to most of its TVs (starting with the MIUI TV 3.0+ firmware), which allows you to broadcast the iPhone screen wirelessly, but with some limitations:
- 📱 It only works on iPhone. 6s and newer (with iOS 12.3)+).
- 📺 Requires a Xiaomi TV on the MIUI TV 3.0 or higher (check in Settings) → On TV).

Miracast is a wireless broadcast standard that was originally developed for Android devices, but with special applications it can be made to work with the iPhone, the main advantage over AirPlay is low latency (up to 30 ms), which is critical for gaming.

6. Solving common problems
