But when you need to remember who exactly you added to the blacklist, the standard MIUI settings are not always obvious. Unlike an iPhone or Samsung, where the lock list hides in the depths of the menu, there are several ways to find it on Xiaomi - and not all of them are intuitive.

Where is the blacklist on Xiaomi stored: key points

Before looking for locked numbers, it’s important to understand where exactly they are saved. Xiaomi smartphones have three levels of locks:

• 📱 Local blacklist MIUI — It's stored in the phone's memory, linked to the user profile, reset when you reset your settings.
• ☁️ Google Contacts – if sync is enabled, the locks can be duplicated in the cloud.
• 📡 Operator lock – some mobile operators (such as MTS or Beeline) offer their own spam blocking services.

Xiaomi uses a local blacklist by default, but if you’ve ever set up sync with Google, some numbers may have gone to the cloud, and it’s also worth remembering that some apps (like Truecaller or GetContact) have their own lock lists that don’t overlap with the system.

Method 1: through the standard Phone application (MIUI 13–14)

This is the main and most reliable way for modern Xiaomi smartphones. Instructions are suitable for Xiaomi 13/14, Redmi Note 12/13, POCO F5/X5 and other devices on MIUI 13-14.

1. Open the phone application (pipe icon).
2. Tap on three points (⋮) in the upper right corner and select Settings.
3. Go to the Blocking Numbers section (or the Blacklist in some firmware).
4. Here you will see a complete list of blocked contacts, and you can edit, unlock or add new ones.

If you have a double SIM-map, locks can be duplicated for each card separately. To see all the numbers, switch between SIM top-of-screen.

Method 2: Contact (for MIUI 12 and older)

In older firmware versions (MIUI 12 and below), the list of locked numbers was hidden in the Contacts app, which can also work if you have custom firmware or a modified MIUI.

1. Open the Contacts app (an icon with a person’s silhouette).
2. Tap on three lines (☰) in the upper left corner and select Settings.
3. Scroll down to the section Blocking Numbers or Blacklist.

If there is no such section in Contacts, then your version of MIUI uses a different method (see Method 1). Also check if the item is hidden behind additional settings - sometimes it hides under Additional or Contact Management.

Method 3: Check in Google Contacts (if sync is enabled)

If your Xiaomi has Google contacts sync enabled, some of the blocked numbers may have gone to the cloud, especially if you’ve used other Android devices before or change phones frequently.

To check the blocking in Google Contacts:

1. Open your browser and go to contacts.google.com (sign up under your account).
2. On the left menu, select More → Settings → Blocked numbers.
3. This will show all the numbers that are blocked through Google, and they can be unlocked or exported.

Note that MIUI system locks and Google locks are different lists. A number locked through Phone on Xiaomi won't necessarily appear in Google Contacts, and vice versa. To sync them, you need to manually add numbers to both lists.

⚠️ Note: If you delete the number from Google Contacts, but leave it in the lock MIUI, Calls from this number will still be blocked at phone level. To fully unlock the contact, check both lists.

How to find hidden locks (operator/applications)

Sometimes a number doesn't show up on the standard lock lists, but calls don't go through anyway, and this can happen for two reasons:

1. Operator lock – some mobile operators (e.g. Tele2 or Yota) offer spam protection services that operate at a level of security. SIM-map.

Possible causes:
