Have you accidentally blocked an important contact on Xiaomi and now you canβt reach it? or suspect that someone has added you to the blacklist on a Redmi or POCO smartphone? In this article, we will analyze all the current ways to look at the blacklist on Xiaomiβs Android β from standard MIUI tools to hidden features and third-party applications.
The blacklist (or blocked contacts list) on Xiaomi smartphones can work on two levels: at the MIUI system level (blocks calls and SMS) and at the application level (eg, Google Contacts or Truecaller), we will show you how to check both options, and also tell you what to do if standard methods do not work.
Important: The locking algorithms may differ depending on the MIUI version (e.g., the settings menu moved in MIUI 14) and the smartphone model (Xiaomi 13T, Redmi Note 12, POCO F5, etc.).If your phone is running on "pure" Android (e.g., Xiaomi A3), use methods for Google Contacts.
1. Standard method: through MIUI settings
The most reliable method is to use the built-in MIUI tools, which work on all modern Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO smartphones (except Android One devices).
Instructions:
- Open the phone application (pipe icon).
- Slip on three dots in the upper right corner (menu) β select Settings.
- Go to the section "Block numbers" (or "Black list" in older versions of MIUI).
- So here you'll see all the locked numbers. To unlock the contact, swipe it left or click on the basket.
If you have MIUI 12/13/14, the path may be slightly different.

2. Alternative method: through Google Contacts
If you use Google Contacts as your primary number management application, the blacklist can be stored in your Google account, which is universal and works even on pure Android.
How to check:
- Open the Contacts app (usually with a human silhouette icon).
- Slip on three lines (menu) β Settings β Blocked numbers.
- This will show all the numbers that are locked through Google services, and you can unlock them by swipe or through the basket.
Features of the method:
- π Syncs between devices (if you log in to the same Google account on a different phone).
- π΅ Not only does it block calls, but it also blocks calls. SMS.
- β οΈ Not all rooms are MIUI-The locks are duplicated here (depending on the synchronization settings).

β οΈ Note: If you use Truecaller or similar applications, they may have their own blacklist that doesn't show up in the system settings.
4. blacklist in third-party applications (Truecaller, SMS-blockers)
Applications like Truecaller, Hiya, or SMS Block create their own databases of locked numbers to check them out:
For Truecaller:
- Open the Truecaller app.
- Slip on three lines (menu) β Settings β Lock.
- There will be all the numbers blocked through this app.
For other blockers:

If you donβt remember which application you used to block, check the permissions:

5. How to know if youβve been blacklisted on Xiaomi
If you suspect that your number is locked on someone elseβs Xiaomi smartphone, there are a few indirect signs:
| Sign. | What does it mean? | Exceptions |
|---|---|---|
| The call is reset after 1 beep | High chance of lockdown | There may be a problem with the network or the phone is off. |
| SMS not delivered (no "delivered" status) | Probably a number on the blacklist. | There may be problems with the operator. |
| WhatsApp/Telegram messages are not read | Could mean blocking in the messenger | Users could turn off notifications |
| When you call, you hear a short signal and a break. | Typical behavior when blocking in MIUI | Do not disturb mode may be activated. |
π How to check for sure:
- π Call from another number β if the call passes, you are blocked.
- π¬ Write to the messenger (Viber, WhatsApp) β if the message is not delivered, this is an indirect confirmation.
- π Ask for mutual contact to check if your phone number is visible.

If you are blocked in Xiaomi, but you need to contact us urgently, try to write via social networks or use services such as βCall from a hidden numberβ (dial *67 before the number).

Method 1: Through a backup of MIUI
- Go to Settings β About Phone β Backup and Reset.
- Select a Local Backup (if you have created it before).
- Restore the phone or contact information.

Settings β Memory and applications β Phone β Locking numbersOr use the search in the settings (magnifying glass icon).
Problem 3: The blacklist is reset after the reboot
- π§ It could be a firmware bug. MIUI last-minute.
