Why sync Xiaomi with LG TV?
Modern Xiaomi smartphones and LG Smart TVs allow you to display content from your phone screen to the big screen without unnecessary wires. This is convenient for watching movies, streaming games, showing photos or even working with documents. But how to set up a connection when device models are different and the instructions on the network are often contradictory?

1. Wi-Fi connection (Screen Mirroring/Miracast)

To activate Screen Mirroring:

If the TV doesn’t appear in the list of devices for Google Cast, reboot it and reset the network settings in the Settings menu → General → Reset → Network Reset.
3. Wired connection via HDMI (MHL/Slimport)
For minimal delays (relevant to gamers or watching 4K video), use a wired connection via a USB-C → HDMI adapter. Most Xiaomi smartphones (starting with the Mi 8 and Redmi Note 7) support the Slimport or MHL standard, but an active adapter is required (passive cables don't work!).
Step-by-step:
- Buy a certified adapter (e.g. Xiaomi USB-C to HDMI or UGREEN 4K).
- Connect the adapter to the phone’s USB-C port and the other end to the TV’s HDMI port.
- On the TV, select the HDMI signal source (INPUT or SOURCE button on the remote).
- On the phone, activate HDMI mode (may be called External Display).
Important nuances:
- 🔌 The adapter must support power (otherwise the phone will run out).
- 🎮 For games, it is recommended to turn on the Game Turbo mode on the TV LG (Settings → Picture → Game mode).

Advantages of applications:

6. Troubleshooting: TV can't see phone
If the connection fails, check the following points:
