How to connect a smartphone to a Xiaomi TV: all ways + problem solving

Connecting your phone to a Xiaomi smart TV opens up a lot of possibilities, from viewing photos on a large screen to streaming games from a mobile device. However, many users face difficulties — Wi-Fi Direct does not find the TV, Miracast gives a connection error, the picture through HDMI is displayed with artifacts. In this article, we will analyze all the current ways of synchronization (including the hidden functions of the MIUI TV firmware), as well as typical problems and solutions — from the lack of sound to lags when you duplicate the screen.

It is important to understand that the method of connection depends on the TV model (Mi TV 4S, Mi TV Q1, Redmi Smart TV, etc.), the firmware version and even the operating system of the smartphone.
