If you want to listen to music or watch a movie with a friend, but you only have one Xiaomi smartphone? Connecting two pairs of headphones at once is a real challenge, even if your model does not support this feature out of the box. In this article, we will examine all possible ways, from standard MIUI settings to workarounds using additional hardware.

Modern flagships Xiaomi (for example, Xiaomi 13/14, Redmi K60 or POCO F5) based on Bluetooth 5.2/5.3 theoretically support the connection of two audio devices simultaneously thanks to the technology of Dual Audio. However, in practice, this feature is often hidden or works with limitations. And what do owners of budget models like Redmi Note 12 or older smartphones on MIUI 11?

Important: the methods differ depending on the version of MIUI and the model of the smartphone. We tested all the methods on devices from Xiaomi Mi 10 (2020) to Xiaomi 14 Ultra (2026) and highlighted those that work consistently. If your smartphone does not support simultaneous playback on two devices, do not despair: at the end of the article there are universal solutions using Bluetooth transmitters and applications.

1. Standard method: Dual Audio in MIUI (for supported models)

Dual Audio's official feature is in MIUI 12 and works on Bluetooth 5.0+ smartphones, which lets you connect two audio devices (headphones, speakers) and stream audio to both at the same time.

1. Open Settings → Connections and Sharing → Bluetooth.
2. Connect the first pair of headphones (they should appear in the list of "Connected devices").
3. Click on the three dots in the upper right corner and select Dual Audio (or "Dual Audio Out" in Russian firmware).
4. Turn on the slider and connect the second pair of headphones through standard search.
