Double incoming calls on Xiaomi Redmi smartphones are a common problem that annoys users with unexpected signals or notifications of missed calls, most often due to the peculiarities of the work. It's important to understand that not all methods are universal: efficiency depends on the firmware version, the smartphone model, and even your carrier's data plan. 1. Check the basic settings of MIUI
Before you get into the technical details, make sure that the problem is not solved by standard means. MIUI has several parameters that can affect the handling of incoming calls:
- 📱 Call log: Open the Phone app, go to the Journal and check if there are duplicate entries. If so, the problem may be syncing with your Mi Account account.
- 🔔 Notifications: Go to Settings → Annexes → Phone. → Notifications and disable Repeat Notifications (if active).
- 📞 Do Not Disturb Mode: Sometimes duplication of calls is due to conflict with this mode. → Sound and vibration → Don't disturb.

2. Disconnection of the operator's services
Many Russian operators (MTS, Beeline, MegaFon, Tele2) activate by default services such as Call Waiting or Redirection, which can cause duplication of signals, to turn them off:
- Dial ##4636## and go to Phone Information. Check Call Waiting status. If it's active, turn it off.
- For deactivation through USSD: 📶 MTS: Dial *111*331# and follow the instructions. 📶 Beeline: *110*789# → Select “Deactivate waiting for a call». 📶 MegaFon: *105*3# → service → deactivate Waiting/Continuation.
Important: after the operator’s services are disabled, restart your smartphone, which in 70% of cases solves the problem of duplication of calls on Xiaomi Redmi.

4. Network resetting
Incorrect network settings are one of the main reasons for duplication of calls: resetting the network will delete all saved connections (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, VPN), but return the mobile parameters to factory values.

Instructions:
- Open the Settings. → SIM-maps and mobile networks → Resetting network settings.

5. Engineering menu and hidden settings
If standard methods don’t work, you can try disabling duplication of calls through the engineering menu, which is suitable for advanced users, since incorrect actions can disrupt the communication module.
Instructions for Xiaomi Redmi:
- Open the Phone app and dial ##4636##.
- Go to the phone information (or phone information) section.
- Scroll down to the Call Settings block and find the options: 🔧 Call Waiting – Disable (disable value). 🔧 Additional Settings → Call Forwarding – Check that all options are disabled. 🔧 VoLTE Provisioned – If enabled, try turning off.
What to do if the engineering menu is not opened?

6. Check firmware and updates
Some versions of MIUI (especially MIUI 12.0.x and MIUI 12.5) had a call-duplicate bug that was patched in subsequent updates to eliminate the software bug:
- Check the relevance of the firmware: Settings → About the phone → System update.
- If an update is available, install it. If not, try manually downloading the latest version of MIUI for your model from Xiaomi's official website and updating through Recovery.
- For models with unlocked bootloader, you can install custom firmware (for example, Xiaomi.eu or Pixel Experience), where such bugs are usually fixed.
If you do not want to update or are afraid of losing data, the alternative is to roll back to the previous stable version of MIUI.
- Download the archive with the right firmware (for example, from xiaomifirmwareupdater.com).
- Rename the file to update.zip and place it in the root of internal memory.
- Press Volume Up + Power to log in to Recovery, and select Install update.zip.
It is also worth checking whether your number is activated with MultiSIM service (from MegaFon) or Double Number (from MTS), which can create the illusion of a second call.
