You have noticed that your Xiaomi calls are automatically redirected to another number. SMS Are they late or disappearing? Mobile Internet is unstable due to hidden traffic forwarding? 90% of cases are due to conditional or unconditional redirect settings that may have been activated by accident, through applications or through the fault of the mobile operator. This problem is especially relevant for devices on MIUI, where redirect functions are hidden in multiple menus at the same time.
In this article, we will analyze all possible types of redirects on Xiaomi, Redmi and smartphones. POCO (including models 2023–2026 years, show how to detect and disable them through standard settings, USSD-And we'll also focus on the hidden redirects that are not displayed in the interface, but affect the operation of the network. MIUI 14/15 Android 12–14.
We warn you right away: some types of forwarding (for example, via *21#) can be activated by your operator without your knowledge - they will require a call for support, but in most cases, the problem can be solved independently in 5-10 minutes.
1.What is a redirect to Xiaomi and why does it turn on itself
Redirection (or call forwarding) is a mobile network function that automatically redirects incoming calls, SMS Or mobile traffic to another number or service, and on Xiaomi smartphones, it can run in four modes:
- 📞 Unconditional – all calls are forwarded immediately, without a signal on your phone.
- ⏳ If no response is given, it works after 15-30 seconds of waiting.
- 🚫 If you are busy, it activates when you are talking on a different number.
- 📵 If unavailable – works when there is no network or switched off the phone.
On Xiaomi devices, redirects may be enabled for the following reasons:
- 🤖 Automatically by the operator – some tariffs (for example, “Unlimited” from MTS or “All inclusive” from Beeline) activate conditional redirection for services such as “Voicemail” or “Redirection to the Secretary».
- 📱 Through the settings MIUI — randomly clicking on the Settings menu → SIM-maps and mobile networks → Call forwarding.
- 🛠️ After the software update - bugs in firmware MIUI 14.0.3–14.0.6 resulted in spontaneous redirection on some models (Redmi Note 12 Pro)+, Xiaomi 13T).
- 🔍 Viruses or malicious applications – programs like Call Forwarding Manager or «SMS Redirector can change settings without your knowledge.
The most insidious case is hidden data forwarding, when traffic from your home is in the process of being SIM-The card is forwarded to the proxy server of the operator or third-party service:
- 📉 A sharp increase in mobile Internet consumption (even in the background).
- 🔒 Blocking access to certain sites or messengers (Telegram, WhatsApp).
- ⚡ Slowing down the loading speed (ping above 200 ms).
⚠️ Note: If you notice that after the update MIUI or the new app has stopped installing calls and the redirect settings are turned off, check ##4636## (engineering menu.
2.How to check if redirects are enabled on Xiaomi
Before you turn off a redirect, you need to make sure it's actually active. There are three reliable ways to do this.
Method 1: USSD-Teams (works for all operators)
Dial the following combinations on the phone keyboard and press the call button:
- 🔍 *#62# – Check for forwarding if the phone is not available.
- 📞 *#21# – Checks for all active redirects (most important code!).
- ⏳ *#61# - Checking for forwarding if no response is received.
- 🚫 *#67# - Checking for forwarding if the line is occupied.
If the redirect is active, you will see a message like:
Call forwarded to: +79XXXXXXXXXX
Service activated: YesIf all services are disabled, the answer will come:
Service not activatedMethod 2: Through the MIUI settings
Open the menu:
- Go to Settings. → SIM-maps and mobile networks.
- Choose yours. SIM-card (if there are several).
- Press Call forwarding.
If there is no call forwarding, it means:
- 📵 On your version. MIUI This function is hidden (relevant to the POCO F5 redmi K60).
- 🔧 The operator has blocked access to the settings (often happens to be the case with the Tele2 or Yota).
Method 3: Through the Engineering Menu (for hidden settings)
Enter the code:
##4636##Go to Phone Information and scroll down. If you see a line called Call Forwarding: Enabled, the redirect is active at the communication module level.
3. Disabling redirection through settings MIUI
If you find the call forwarding option in the settings, follow this instruction:
- Open the Settings. → SIM-maps and mobile networks.
- Choose. SIM-map for which you need to disable redirection.
- Press Call forwarding.
- Turn off all sliders: 📵 Always (unconditional forwarding). ⏳ If there is no answer. 🚫 If it's busy. 📶 If not available.
OK
Shut down.
On some models (Xiaomi) 12T Pro, Redmi Note 11 Pro+) Instead of sliders, you can have buttons with numbers:
- Click on each type of redirect.
- In the Redirect Number field, delete the number (if any).
- Click Disable or Remove the setting.
⚠️ Attention: On firmware MIUI Global version 14.0.2–14.0.5 was a bug that reset the redirect settings after the reboot. If the problem returned after the shutdown, update the software or use it. USSD-Teams (see next section).
All types of redirects are turned off (gray sliders)
Numbers in forwarding fields deleted
After the reboot, the settings remained
Checked through USSD-team#-->
4. Disabling forwarding through USSD-commands (universal method)
If the settings MIUI do not help or the redirect point is missing, use USSD-This method works on all Xiaomi models, regardless of the firmware version.
Enter the following commands on the phone keyboard and press the call button:
| Type of forwarding | Command to shut down | Example of response |
|---|---|---|
| All kinds (total shutdown) | ##002# | All forwarding services disabled |
| Unconditional (all calls) | ##21# | Service disabled: Unconditional forwarding |
| If there is no answer | ##61# | Service disabled: forwarding in case of no response |
| If it's busy. | ##67# | Service disabled: Redirection during employment |
| If not available. | ##62# | Service disabled: Redirection when unavailable |
After entering each command, wait. SMS-If a message arrives, the service is not activated, this type of redirect has already been disabled.
Critical: The ##002# command disables ALL redirects, including those that may have been activated by the operator for tariff options (for example, Voicemail from MegaFon). If the operator’s services stop working after using it, contact support to re-activate only the necessary functions.
💡
If, after input, USSD-Redirect commands are still active, try typing them through another call app (like Google Phone). MIUI Dialer blocks execution of commands.
5. How to disable hidden data forwarding (traffic)
If you lost your mobile Internet and your settings are fine, you may have turned on traffic forwarding to the carrier's proxy server, which is often the case when:
- 🌍 Roaming connection (automatic redirection to local servers).
- 🔒 Use of “children’s” or corporate content filtering tariffs.
- 🛡️ Activation of services such as "Protection from fraudsters" (at Beeline, MTS).
To turn it off:
Step 1: Check the settings APN
- Go to Settings. → SIM-maps and mobile networks → [Yours. SIM] → Access points (APN).
- Choose active APN (usually marked with a tick).
- Check the Proxy and Port fields if they are listed IP-Addresses (e.g. 10.10.10.10) should be deleted.
- Save the settings and restart the phone.
Step 2: Disconnect the operator's services
Find the operator’s office (or through the USSD) active services with words:
- 🔄 «Redirection, Redirection, Redirect».
- 🛡️ «Protection, Filter, Security».
- 🌐 «proxy», «VPN», «Gateway».
To disable, use the commands:
- 📱 MTS has: *111*255# (Disabling “Protections against fraudsters»).
- 📱 Beeline's: *110*071# (shutdown of the "Secure Internet»).
- 📱 MegaFon: *105*00# (Disconnection of all additional services).
- 📱 U Tele2: *155*0# (Resetting all connected options).
Step 3: Resetting network settings
If nothing helps, reset your network settings:
- Go to Settings. → SIM-maps and mobile networks → Resetting network settings.
- Confirm the reset (you will need to enter) PIN-code SIM-map).
- After restarting manually select the operator in Settings → Mobile network → Network operators.
⚠️ Attention: Network reset will delete all stored Wi-Fi passwords and Bluetooth settings. If after this procedure, the mobile Internet does not work, check if it is blocked. SIM-Card (insert it into another phone).
What if the operator refuses to disable the redirect?
6.Redirection to specific Xiaomi models (features)
Some Xiaomi models have unique bugs or hidden redirect settings.
| Model | Problem. | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| Redmi Note 10/11 Pro | After updating to MIUI 13.0.5 is switched on to redirection +79991234567 (operator test number). | Back on. MIUI 12.5 or type ##21#, then ##002#. |
| Xiaomi 12/12 Pro | The Call Redirect menu does not have the option “If not available”. | Use it. USSD-command #62# or engineering menu (#4636##). |
| POCO F4/F5 | Redirection is enabled when the Second Space (Dual System) mode is activated. | Turn off the "Second Space" in Settings → Special facilities. |
| Redmi K50/K60 | When connecting to 5G Redirection is activated automatically (bug in firmware) MIUI 14.0.3). | Turn it off. 5G In Settings → SIM-map → Preferred network type (select the network type) LTE). |
For Xiaomi models 13/14 HyperOS series (replacement) MIUI into 2026 year) the path to redirect settings has changed:
→ Connection settings → SIM- map → Additional → Call forwardingIf you have two. SIM-check the forwarding settings for each individually – sometimes the operator activates it only on one of the lines.
7 What to do if the redirect is switched on by itself
If after the switch off, the redirect returns after a few hours or days, the reasons may be as follows:
- 🤖 Virus software – some applications (e.g. Call Forwarding Pro or SMS Auto Forward can change settings. Check your phone with an antivirus (we recommend Dr.Web or Kaspersky).
- 📱 The firmware failure is on MIUI 14.0.2–14.0.6 was a bug that reset the settings after the reboot.
- 📡 Problems with the operator - some tariffs (for example, "Business" at MTS) force the redirect.
- 🔧 Communication module malfunction – if the phone fell or got wet, the chip responsible for handling calls could be damaged.
Algorithm of action:
- Delete any suspicious apps (especially those that requested access to calls)/SMS).
- Update MIUI to the latest version via Settings → About Phone → System Update.
- Reset your network settings (see Section 5).
- If the problem persists, contact the Xiaomi service center for a diagnosis of the communication module.
⚠️ Attention: Forums 4PDA Redmi Note 12 users complain that after the screen is replaced, unofficial services receive a redirect, which is associated with damage to the antenna plume, in which case only re-repair will help.
💡
If the redirect is triggered by itself, first check the phone for viruses, then update the firmware. Only then contact the operator or service center.
