Xiaomi blocked: what to do and how to restore access

When a smartphone screen suddenly goes out or a lock message appears, it always takes you by surprise, and a Xiaomi owner can face this for various reasons, from a forgotten password to account security issues, at which point it is important not to panic, as rash actions can make things worse.
