Why you need a reset to factory settings and when to apply it

Method 2: Reset via Recovery (if the phone is not turned on)
If the Xiaomi Mi 7 doesnβt respond to the power button, freezes on the logo or is locked, use Recovery mode, which works even when the firmware is damaged, but requires physical access to the phoneβs buttons.

What to do if the reset is suspended or an error occurs
Sometimes the reset process is interrupted, and the Xiaomi Mi 7 hangs on the MI logo or download screen.
