How to exit Fastboot mode on Xiaomi Poco X3: a step-by-step guide

Fastboot mode on Xiaomi Poco X3 is a service mode for firmware and system recovery, but sometimes the smartphone “hangs” in it after a failed update, reset or incorrectly shut down. If your Poco X3 screen is burning with the inscription FASTBOOT with the image of a hare in the hat (mode logo), and a conventional reboot does not help – do not panic. Why is Poco X3 stuck in Fastboot mode?

Fastboot is activated automatically in several cases:

In most cases, the software is to blame, but if the smartphone does not respond to any commands and is not detected by the computer, the problem can be hidden in the hardware. For example, on the Poco X3, it is not uncommon for the power controller to fail after falls or moisture.

5. Select firmware mode: Clean All - complete cleanup (recommended for critical failures); Clean All and Lock - cleanup + lock the bootloader (if it was unlocked); Save User Data - an attempt to save data (does not always work).

Firmware via the Mi Flash Tool is the most reliable way to bring the Poco X3 back to life, but it is only suitable for official Fastboot firmware. Using custom ROMs can lead to a "brick" (complete inoperability) of the device.

Method 5: Hardware reset (if the smartphone does not respond)

If the Poco X3 doesn’t respond to buttons, isn’t detected by a computer, and isn’t charged, the problem could be in the hardware, in which case a “hardware reset” – a forced battery-level power outage – will help.

Instructions:

1. Turn off the charger (if connected).
2. Remove the back cover of the smartphone (need a mediator or plastic card).
