Method 1: Standard cleaning through the phone menu
The easiest method that works on all Xiaomi devices is to delete the records directly in the Phone app, which is suitable if you need to get rid of individual numbers or clear the entire history at a time.
To remove one contact from the log:

- 🔍 Find the number you want in the list of incoming/outgoing/missed.

Method limitation: History is only deleted locally. If you have Mi Account sync enabled, records can be restored after a system reboot or update. To avoid this, go to Method 4.
Method 2: Remove through System Settings
If the Phone app doesn’t respond or you prefer to work through system settings, you can clear the call log in the Apps section, which is useful when the phone’s standard menu is locked (e.g., on the desktop device).

- 🔍 In the search bar, enter the phone and select the system application.
- 📊 Go to Warehouse and Cache.

Method 4: Disable synchronization with Mi Cloud
One of the reasons that call history comes back after deletion is automatic synchronization with Mi Account. Xiaomi defaults to keeping the call log in the cloud, and the next time you log in, the data is restored. To avoid this, you need to disable backup.
How to turn off synchronization:

Method 5: Resetting phone settings (last resort)
If none of the above methods work, you have to reset your settings completely, and this method removes all information from your device, including apps, photos, and settings, so only use it as a last resort.
How to reset Xiaomi to factory settings:
