Deleting a Google account with Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is a challenge that users face when selling a phone, resetting to a factory setting, or wanting to switch to a different profile. Otherwise, the new owner will face a login / password request when you first turn on. Also note that deleting a Google account does not untie the device from the Mi Account (Xiaomi account) is a separate procedure, which we will also touch.

1. Standard deletion of Google account through MIUI settings

The easiest and safest way is to delete the settings through the settings menu, which is suitable if you remember the password from the account and the phone is not locked. On the Redmi Note 7, the path to account settings may vary depending on the version of MIUI, but the general scheme is maintained.

Open Settings → Accounts and Sync. Here you will see a list of all the associated accounts, including Google and Mi Account. Click on the Google icon and the profile page will open. In the upper right corner, tap three dots (menu) and select Delete Account. The system will request confirmation: enter the device password (if installed) or the pattern lock.
