1.Dumping Preparation: What to Do Before Cleaning
Factory reset removes all data from internal memory: photos, contacts, messages, installed applications and even files on the memory card (if it is used as internal storage), so the first thing to do is to save important information.

2. Method 1: Reset via phone settings (if the device is working)
This is the easiest and safest method, but it is only available if the smartphone is turned on and you remember the unlock password.The instruction is suitable for Redmi Go on any version of Android Go Edition.
Step-by-step:
- Open Settings (the gear icon on the main screen).
- Scroll down and select System.

- Select Delete all data (reset to factory settings).

The phone will automatically restart and start the cleaning process, which will take 3-5 minutes, and then you will see the screen of the initial setup, as after the purchase.

3. Method 2: Reset via Recovery Mode (if the phone is not turned on)
Recovery Mode is a service mode that lets you reset your phone even if the system doesn't boot.Redmi Go uses Xiaomi's stock Recovery, so the interface will be in English.
How to log in to Recovery and make a reset:
- Turn off the phone (press the power button for 10 seconds if it freezes).

Note that remote reset via Mi Account on Redmi Go is unstable due to the lightweight version of Android. If you forget your password and your phone is locked, you should use Recovery or Fastboot.
