Redmi smartphones have been leading the market for many years due to their excellent price-performance ratio, but even reliable devices sometimes require radical measures. Owners of the popular Redmi Note 7 model may face the need to completely clean up memory: whether it is selling a gadget, transferring it to another user or trying to fix critical errors in the operation of the MIUI operating system.
The reset procedure, known as Hard Reset, returns the device to factory parameters by removing all user data, settings and installed applications. This action is irreversible, so before you start manipulating it, it is extremely important to understand the consequences and prepare the device for the process. In this article, we will discuss in detail all available ways to return to the original state.
Although it seems simple, the process has its own technical nuances, ignoring which can lead to account locking or loss of important information, we will look at methods through the standard settings menu and through a special engineering menu Recovery, as well as focus on security and access restoration.
Preparing the device for complete cleansing
Before you start deleting data, you need to do a series of preparatory steps to secure your personal files and ensure that the procedure is completed successfully. Backup is the first and most important step that should not be missed if you want to save contacts, photos and correspondence.
You can create a backup through the built-in MIUI system or using cloud services. Go to Settings → Advanced Settings → Backup and create a copy of the system on an internal drive or external memory card. Once you create a copy of the backup file, it is best to copy to your computer.

Removing the forgotten unlock password
