How to Reset Your Password to Xiaomi via Fastboot: A Complete Guide with Commands and Errors

⚠️ Important: Resetting your password through Fastboot requires an unlocked bootloader.If you have never officially unlocked it through the Mi Unlock Tool, the methods below will not work - you will need to log in to Mi Account or contact the service center.

1.Preparation for password reset via Fastboot

Before you start resetting, make sure that all the prerequisites are met, and without them, the process will result in an error or a blink (complete failure) of the device.

2. Press Power + Volume down and hold for 5-10 seconds until the Fastboot logo appears (Android robot labeled FASTBOOT).
