Reset Xiaomi TV to factory settings: 3 proven ways

Why do I need a reset and when to apply it

Resetting the settings to factory settings on a Xiaomi TV is a radical but effective way to solve most software problems, which brings the device back out of the box by removing all user data, installed apps, and personal settings, most commonly used in three cases:

First, if the TV has started to slow down or freeze after prolonged use, it is due to memory fragmentation, app cache accumulation and system errors, and second, the reset helps to correct the firmware after a failed update or failure during installation of software. And finally, the procedure is mandatory before selling or transferring the device to another user - to delete all associated personal information.

It is important to understand that resetting does not solve hardware problems (such as broken pixels or backlight malfunctions), but can fix software bugs such as:

  • ๐Ÿ”„ Cyclical reboot of the TV
  • ๐Ÿ“บ Absence of image at working sound
  • ๐ŸŽฎ The remote or incorrect operation of Google Play
  • ๐Ÿ”Š Problems with sound (distortion, lack of sound on some channels)
