Forgetting your smartphone password is a frustrating situation, but it's not a hopeless one, especially if you're talking about the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite (codenamed daisy), which, thanks to Android One, has unique unlocking features. Unlike classic Xiaomi devices on MIUI, there's no binding to the Mi Account as usual, but there are nuances.

⚠️ Important: Mi A2 Lite does not support unlocking through Find My Device from Xiaomi, as it runs on pure Android.
1 Unblocking through Google account (if connected to the Internet)
This is the safest way, but it only works if you meet three conditions:
- The phone is connected to Wi-Fi or mobile network.
- You remember the login and password from the Google account that was linked to the device.
- On the lock screen there is a button Forgot the password? (appears after 5 failed attempts to enter).
If the conditions are met, follow the instructions:
- Enter any password 5 times in a row until the message Repeat try in 30 seconds and the button Forgot the pattern lock? (or Forgot the password?).
- Click on it and enter details from the Google account that was synced to the phone.
- After successful authentication, the system will prompt you to create a new password or pattern lock.
⚠️ Note: If two-factor access is enabled on the device (2FA) Google will need to enter the code from SMS It's not possible to unlock it without an authenticator application.

2. Password reset via Fastboot (without data loss)
This method works if you don't remember Google data, but you have access to Fastboot Mode and your computer. It allows you to delete a password file without erasing user data (photos, messages, apps), but it doesn't work on all versions of Android and requires ADB/Fastboot drivers installed.
Step-by-step:
- Turn off the Mi A2 Lite and press Volume Down + Power to log into Fastboot Mode.

Instructions for Mi A2 Lite:

- Press Volume Up + Power and hold for 10-15 seconds until the Android logo and Recovery Mode menu appear.

4. Unlock through Fastboot with firmware (for experienced)
If a standard reset doesn’t work (for example, because of blocked Recovery), you can reflash your phone via Fastboot, a method that is suitable for users who are able to work with ADB and are ready for possible risks (for example, turning the phone into a “brick”).
What you need:
- 🔧 Computer with drivers installed ADB/Fastboot.
- 📥 Official firmware for Mi A2 Lite (you can download it on Xiaomi Firmware Updater).
- 🔌 Original. USB-cable (low-quality cables can interrupt firmware).
- 🔋 Battery charge of at least 50%.
Step-by-step:
- Download the firmware in.tgz format and unpack it into a folder with platform-tools.
