Why Mi Band is blocked and what to do about it
Xiaomi Mi Band fitness bracelets (including models 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8) can be blocked for several reasons, from a banal forgotten password to system failures after a firmware update. PIN-When you activate the "Steal Protection" function in the Mi Fitness app (formerly Mi Fit), in some cases, the bracelet will not respond to touch after a fall or contact with water - this is already a hardware problem, but you can also try to solve it software-based.
Itβs important to understand that unlocking and resetting are not the same thing. Unlocking saves your data (steps, pulse, notifications), whereas resetting returns the bracelet to factory settings, erasing all information. In this article, weβll look at both options, as well as rare methods like using ADB for Android Wear models (such as the Mi Band 7 Pro).
