Fortunately, the Mi Account ecosystem has several scenarios for access recovery, from standard Internet resets to the use of specialized software on your computer. In this article, we will discuss legal methods that will help you regain control of your device without disrupting the integrity of the hardware. It is important to understand that modern data protection protocols are designed to preserve your privacy, so some actions will lead to complete deletion of information.
Before you start to act, you need to clearly define the type of lock, it can be a forgotten pattern lock screen, lock bootloader when you try to flash or, most often, Mi Cloud Lock after resetting, the correct diagnosis depends on the choice of treatment for your gadget.
Determination of the type of lock and preparation
The first step should always be to diagnose the problem accurately, if the phone is just asking for a pattern lock or a pattern lock. To start, you need to apply for unlock through your phone’s settings. Go to Settings menu → About Phone → MIUI version and click on the build number seven times to activate the developer menu. Then, under Advanced Settings → For developers, find “Mi Unlock Status” and tie the device to your acca.
After the peg, you have to wait a certain period of time, which is usually between 7 and 168 hours (7 days), during which time Xiaomi servers check the device for suspicious activity.
