We will analyze not only the basic methods (power button, soft reset), but also hidden functions that the manufacturer does not advertise: how to turn off auto-start services, stop synchronizing with your Mi Account account, and even physically turn off the device if it “hangs” in the reboot cycle.
1. Classic Shutdown: Why the Power Button Doesn't Always Work
It would seem that it could be easier: pressed the power button, chose "Switch off." But owners of Xiaomi often find that the device:
- 🔄 Reboots instead of shutting down (especially after updates)
- 📱 Turns on on by itself because of a smart alarm clock or Mi Cloud
- ⚡ Continues to drain the battery in the "off" state (up to 5% per day)
