Data preparation and backup
Before you start any manipulation of the system, you need to take care of the safety of your information. A complete reset irrevocably destroys all user files, so creating a high-quality backup is a must. Use the built-in tools of Xiaomi or cloud services to duplicate important data.
The most reliable way is to use Mi Cloud or Google Drive, which not only saves contacts and photos, but also folder structure, call history, and even the location of icons on the desktop, and for users who value full control, creating a local copy on an external drive or computer is a good option.
