When a smartphone suddenly stops responding to commands or requires input of data you don’t remember, it always causes panic.If your Xiaomi is blocked, it’s important not to commit random actions that can lead to complete loss of personal data.

Types of blocking and their diagnosis
Not all locks are the same, and you can't confuse them. There are three main types of access restrictions that people often face: Pattern, PIN, Password is the standard protection that the user sets, and if you forget the code, the system will offer multiple input attempts, and then it may require you to log in to a Mi Account.
The second type is Mi Account Lock (Find Device), which is a theft protection that is activated when you reset your settings through Recovery or when you flash it back if Find Device is enabled, and the phone turns into a brick before you enter your username and password.
The third option is viral locking, where malware can block the entire interface, requiring money transfer or downloading an antivirus, in which case the standard screen unlocking methods do not work because the virus blocks the pressing.

Resetting a forgotten password through Mi Account

What to do if the buttons don’t work?
Bypassing the Mi Account Lockdown (FRP)
Once you reset your settings, FRP (Factory Reset Protection) is activated, and if your phone is linked to your Mi Account, you'll need to enter your password, and this is done to protect against theft, because even flashing it won't help, because it's done at the server level.
The only legal way to unlock your device is to recall your account details or restore access through the password recovery form on Xiaomi’s website, and if you bought your phone with your hands and it’s locked by someone else’s account, you can only return it through the seller.
There are various workarounds, often called bypasses, that exploit vulnerabilities in the Android system, but they require high-skill, specific software, and often do not work on updated versions of MIUI or HyperOS.

Removal of the encryption virus
