Why You Can't Find a Xiaomi Router Password and Where to Look for It
You bought a Xiaomi Mi Router router, connected it to the Internet, but after a month you forgot your Wi-Fi password. Or worse, you took the device out of your hands and the previous owner left no login data. The situation is familiar? 80% of the time the problem is solved in 2 minutes - you can look at the case of the router quite carefully. But there are nuances: some models (for example, Xiaomi AX3600 or Mi Router 4A Gigabit) password sticker is hidden under the battery compartment or erased over time.
In this article, weβll look at all the possible places where you can have your Xiaomi router password, from the obvious (bottom sticker) to the hidden (service menu through 192.168.31.1). And if standard methods donβt work, youβll learn how to reset your settings to factory without losing your Internet speed.
Important: if you rent a router from a provider (for example, Rostelecom or MTS), the factory password can be replaced with an individual one, in which case contact the operator for support - they are obliged to provide login data under the contract.
1. Standard place: sticker on router body
The fastest way to find a password is to look around the deviceβs body. Most Xiaomi models (including the Mi Router 4C, AX1800, Pro) have the connection data on a white or silver sticker on the bottom panel.

- π Warranty card β in some countries (for example, in China) the password is printed on documents.
- π Battery compartment (if any) β for models with backup power (for example, Mi Router) 4A) sticker could be inside.
β οΈ Note: If you see only 12345678 or 8 digits in a row on the sticker, it is not a Wi-Fi password, but a serial number or a number. MAC-The true password is usually 8-12 characters (letters). + numbers) and register-dependent (i.e. A and a are different characters).
2. Password in the routerβs web interface (if you are already connected)
If at least one device (smartphone, laptop, TV) is connected to the router network, you can find out the password through the control panel.
