Owners of the popular budget router Xiaomi Mi Router 4A often face a situation when you need to know the key to access the wireless network, this may be required when connecting a new gadget, inviting guests or trivial forgetfulness. Unlike older models, modern Xiaomi devices have their own features of storing authorization data, which are not always obvious at first glance.
There are several proven ways to find out the information you need without having to use the complicated firmware manipulations. The easiest way is to look around the device body, but if the sticker has worn off or the router has been reconfigured before, other methods will be required. In this article, we will take a detailed look at all the options for finding a password, from physical tags to logging into the admin web interface.
It's important to understand that the factory password and the manual password are two different things, and if you changed your security settings after you bought it, the data on the case may no longer work, so we'll have to go to the software part of the router or reset if you lose access permanently.
Search for factory data on the device body
The first place to look is at the bottom of the Mi Router 4A. Xiaomi engineers put the information sticker right there so it doesn’t interfere with the installation, but is available when needed. This label contains all the basic information necessary for initial setup and connection.
