Xiaomi Mi2 is the legendary smartphone of 2012, which is still used by enthusiasts due to the possibility of installing custom firmware and upgraded iron. However, as the device ages, it requires repairs from replacing the battery to cleaning the connectors, disassembling this device has its own nuances associated with fragile design and specific attachment of internal components.

We'll take a look at the process from removing the back cover to removing the motherboard, focusing on the most vulnerable elements, the plumes and chips, and if you're planning to replace the battery, speaker or charging connector, this guide will become your navigation map.
Important: The Mi2 came in several versions (Mi2 Standard and Mi2S), but their design is almost identical. All steps are relevant for both versions, unless otherwise indicated.
Preparation for disassembly: tools and security measures
Before you start, make sure you have everything you need, and the lack of the right tools is the main cause of damage to the body and internal components.

⚠️ Warning: Do not use metal mediators or knives to separate the lid! Mi2 It has a brittle plastic case that is easy to scratch or break.Plastic tools reduce the risk of damage to a minimum.
Step 1: Remove the back cover and battery
Start by turning off your phone and retrieving it. SIM-The back cover. Mi2 It's attached to the latches and a little bit of glue to remove it:
- Place the plastic mediator in the gap between the cover and the case at the headphone jack.

Step 2: Removing the motherboard
The Mi2 motherboard is mounted on 11 different sized screws, and it's important to remember their location, because you can't confuse the screws when you build them.
- Unscrew all the screws (pictured below with red circles) The screws on the speaker and the camera are shorter than the others!
- Carefully raise the charge over the edge closest to the charging socket. It's held on a few plumes.
- Disconnect the plumes in that order: 📞 The plume of the touch screen (the widest, at the upper edge). 🔊 Dynamic plume (thin, right). 📷 Main camera plume (black, center). 🔋 Power button plume (small, left).

Step 3: Disassemble the front panel and screen
If you need to replace the display or touchscreen, you have to take the front side apart, and that's the hardest part, because it's easy to damage the plumes or to tear the contacts off.
- Warm up the front panel with a hair dryer (temperature ~50 ° C) - this will soften the glue around the perimeter of the screen.
- Insert a plastic mediator in the gap between the screen and the case at the Home button (if it is in your modification).
- Slowly move the instrument along the edge, separating the screen. Take your time - the glue can be very sticky!
- When the screen separates, place it on a soft surface (such as a napkin).
After assembly, perform the test:
- Check the sensor (swipe your finger across the screen).
- Connect the charger - the indicator should light up.
- Call the phone or play back the sound – check the speaker.
- Take a photo on the front and main cameras.
