How to accurately determine the model of the Xiaomi TV: all the ways from the sticker to the service menu

Have you bought a used Xiaomi TV without a box, lost your documents or just wanted to clarify the exact modification of your device?Defining a TV model is critical for finding firmware, drivers, accessories or repairs. A single-digit error (e.g., Mi TV 4S 55" instead of Mi TV 4A 55") can lead to incompatible software installation or purchase of inappropriate parts.

In this article, we have collected all possible ways, from the obvious (looking at the sticker on the case) to the hidden (service commands and system files). Each method is illustrated with screenshots and works even if the TV is not turned on, locked or reset to factory settings. 1. Inspection of the case: where to look for a factory sticker

The fastest way is to find the serial number and model on the physical sticker, which Xiaomi TV has in one of three places:

⚠️ Note: On some models (e.g. Mi) TV 5 Pro) the sticker can be under the film — gently tuck it with a nail or a plastic card. Do not use metal objects so as not to damage the anti-reflective coating of the screen.

Settings menu: system information

If the TV is turned on, the most reliable way is to watch the model in the system settings. The instructions are universal for all Xiaomi TVs on Android TV or PatchWall:

1. Press the Settings button on the remote.
2. Go to Settings → About TV (or About → Device preferences in English firmware).
3. Scroll down to the Model block.

If standard methods don’t work (for example, a TV is locked or a menu in Chinese), you can use a service menu.This method is suitable for all Xiaomi TVs on Android TV, but you need to be careful – do not change the settings so as not to break the device!

Instructions:

1. Turn on the TV and go to the main screen.
2. On the remote, press sequentially: Back → Back up. → Down. → Down. → Left. → Right. → Left. → Right. → Left (for PatchWall) or Settings → Settings → Settings → Menu → Menu → Menu → Up → Up → Down → Down (for Android) TV).
3. The service menu will open. Go to Device Information or System Info.
4. Look for the Model Name, Hardware Version, or Product Name lines.
